specialists, computer system or network engineer's or
management, and web design and support personnel . The knowledge base of our members is
fantastic. Meeting participation is very high with more than 1/2 of the
membership in attendance at our meeting. Our 'technical experts'
are always there. Got a problem - get a solution, fast and easy. |

The club maintains a
growing collection of HOW TO, tutorials, and software
CD ROMS on a wide variety of topics. These disks are prepared by
club members for our members only. Some consist of video of the
presentations made during meetings. While others are collections
of freeware and shareware programs, all of which are tested,
cataloged, and described. We even have a few that are just
fun. Check out the CD library for more information. |

Get your computer
equipment updated, repaired, or even new one built to your
specifications. |

Got a computer that
won't run. Need yours updated, or even a new built. We do all of
that for our members. With most computer repair facilities
charging $50.00 to just look at your machine, this is a real
bargin. Bring your machine to a meeting if it's not working, and
we will tell you what is wrong with it. Hardware of software,
there is always several people there to help or fix it. Need
more, contact one of the club officer and make arrangements. |

latest local sales and bargains. Generally days before they
actually go on sale. |

We get pre-announcements
about local sales. We post them for our members. Be the first in
line when the doors open and get what you want. Don't wait until
the ads come out and everybody is there. |

Well the club
maintains a FOR SALE page on its web site for just that purpose.
Anyone can buy, but only member get to post items for sale. Your
older equipment may be just what someone else is looking for as
second machine or some parts to make one of their work. Remember
one man's trash is another's .... |

Want free admission to
the local computer show. Well join the club. YES THERE IS A CATCH...you have to
work at the club's booth for a few hours. Then you can get into
the show for free. The GCC maintains a booth at the show to help
individuals with their computer problems and to attract new
members. We need all kinds of help at the show. You do not have
to be a technical expert to work the booth. We need people to
pass out literature, talk to the public about the club, and to
direct inquires to the right people. |

The shows all take place at the Gateway Center,
1 Gateway Drive,
Collinsville, IL 62234. There are usually 60-70
vendor selling every type of computer, equipment, and support
items you can imagine. |

Each shows admission cost $8.00 a day or $15.00 for a 3-day pass.
Club membership is $15.00 and you get in the shows all
year long for. Membership Saves you $17 to $45 a year
